ExpoForum JSC was founded on 18 January 2008 to realise the construction of a new international convention and exhibition centre in St. Petersburg close to the Pulkovo international airport. When the new convention centre opens in 2014 it will be one of the largest in Europe. The project is being realised in the framework of the "Agreement on Cooperation and Mutuality'' signed on 9 February 2007 between the city government of St. Petersburg and Gazprom Group.

Today, in addition to the construction of the new convention centre, ExpoForum is also organising business events: exhibitions, conventions, conferences, forums, and etc. The company's staff has a wealth of experience in organising business events that meet the highest international standards. The quality of ExpoForum's services is made clear by its membership in two prestigious international organisations --- ICCA (the International Association of Conventions and Conferences); AIPC (the International Association of Conference Centres), and UFI (the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry).

ExpoForum is active in the development of St. Petersburg, and provides support to state programmes for the city's economic and cultural development. For instance, the company is paying to design new transport infrastructure on a territory of 500 hectares in the vicinity of the new convention centre.

Also, ExpoForum is one of the founders of the charitable organisation, "The Foundation for the Restoration of Christian Cultural Sites,'' which will restore an Orthodox church that was destroyed during World War II. The church was built according to designs by the famous Italian architect, Giacomo Quarenghi.
