City History and Culture Protection Agency Approves Transport System in the Vicinity of the CEC
The St Petersburg City Committee for State Control and Protection of Historical and Cultural Sites (KGIOP) approved the transport system in the vicinity of the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre.
This approval is vital because near the area the Petersburg Highway, where new transport infrastructure is planned, are located two sites under state protection. The first is a czarist-era road marker with the inscription, 19/5, (a federally protected site); and the second is a mass grave site of Soviet soldiers who died during the Second World War (a regionally protected site). The plans for the new transport infrastructure were approved taken into consideration these protected sites.
The Sixth Russia & CIS Hotel Investment Conference took place in Moscow on Oct. 25 to 27. Artem Klykov, head of hotel and office real estate at ExpoForum jsc, attended the conference and discussed the development of Russia’s hotel industry with leading experts.
ExpoForum participated in a meeting at the Committee for Energy and Infrastructure that discussed the construction of the transport and utilities infrastructure around the site of the future convention and exhibition centre. Representatives from VTB bank were also present at the meeting. VTB is involved with developing the site at the intersection of the Pulkovo Highway and the Volkhonsky Highway.
ExpoForum jsc signed an agreement with the German company, K3 Planungsgeselschaft mbH & Co KG, to create a system of dining services at the future convention and exhibition centre in St. Petersburg.
ExpoForum jsc will begin the selection process for companies to complete removal of the old infrastructure equipment from the site where the new convention and exhibition centre will be built.
Today, there was a presentation of the possible facades for the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre (CEC).
Anatoly Erkulov, general director of ExpoForum jsc, gave an interview to Trade Fair International magazine and spoke about the plans to build a new convention and exhibition centre in St. Petersburg.
On October 4, a new board of directors was choosen during an unscheduled shareholders' meeting of Lenexpo jsc. Anatoly Erkulov, general director of ExpoForum jsc, is one of the new board members.
EXPO REAL 2010, one of Europe's largest exhibitions for real estate, opened today in Munich.
