Work Began on the New Engineering Infrastructure for ExpoForum
On January 13 ExpoForum JSC began removal of the existing engineering infrastructure, and began to prepare the ground for the new infrastructure on the territory of the new convention and exhibition centre which will open in 2013.
At the moment, the water and drainage systems, as well as the gas supply and distribution station, are being removed from the territory of the future ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre. The electricity and low-voltage systems will be removed in the nearest time. Project Technology Ltd. is in charge of the work.
``We expect that infrastructure removal will take 4 months, after which we can began the actual construction of the convention and exhibition centre,'' said ExpoForum general director Anatoly Erkulov.
Evgeny Lavrov, general director of Project Technology Ltd., said, ``Work on such a large and important site must be done flawlessly and within the time period designated by the client. Therefore, we shall have close coordination on all aspects of the removal of the infrastructure systems.''
ExpoForum specialists attended imm cologne, one of the largest furniture exhibitions in Europe, in the hopes of learning more about the functioning of exhibitions working at full capacity.
On January 18 ExpoForum JSC marked its third birthday. The company was founded to create and build a new international convention and exhibition centre in St. Petersburg.
ExpoForum JSC joined two self-regulating associations: NP Northwest Alliance of Project Designers, and NP Construction Companies Association of St. Petersburg. This will allow ExpoForum to carry out both building project design and construction.
The City Committee for Energy and Engineering Infrastructure approved a gas boiler system for the future ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre.
