ExpoForum Continues to Develop Relations With China
As a result of ExpoForum's presentation in February, as well as negotiations in March with top officials in China's convention and exhibition industry, the company has been invited to join the China Association of Exhibition Centres, (CAEC).
CAEС was founded in 1984, and it's China's only national organization representing the country in the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, UFI. China's State Council administers the CAEC, which includes exhibition venues and convention centres, technical companies that service this sector, transport companies, informational resources, educational institutions, research institutes in this sector, national associations for the exhibition industry and other organizations, including companies that sponsor exhibitions.
CAEC supports the work of its members and has achieved strong results in establishing standards for the exhibition business. It also provides support in the area of informational support for events, coordinates government and private sector relations, trains personnel, conducts research in the exhibtion business, and helps with the social activity of members.
According to ExpoForum general director, Anatoly Erkulov, joining the CAEC is an important means to improve Russian-Chinese cooperation in the convention and exhibition industry, and for promotion in the Chinese market in the context of globalisation.
On 27 April 2011, ExpoForum specialists completed the course, ``Managing Corporate Projects with the Help of Microsoft Project Professional и Microsoft Project Server 2010.''
By the end of 2011 the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) plans to open a special organization for conventions, reports RIA Novosti news agency.
ExpoForum experts took part in a business breakfast dedicated to Internet marketing organized by both the Kommersant publishing house in St. Petersburg, as well as by Begun, the leading advertising network in the Russian internet.
On April 14, ExpoForum representatives gave a presentation at a seminar dedicated to helping natural gas distribution companies form a corporate image. The audience included PR specialists from 58 Russian natural gas distribution companies, as well as journalists. ExpoForum is organizing the St Petersburg Natural Gas Forum that will take place on May 31 to June 3 at the Lenexpo exhibition complex.
Today, representatives of ExpoForum, JSC met with leading Belgian companies that are visiting Russia as part of an economic mission led by HRH Prince Philippe of Belgium.
