Baltic Marine Festival to showcase Russian motor and sailing boats abroad
In 2013, the Baltic Marine Festival will double its presence at BOOT, the largest yachting industry exhibition in the world, which is being held in D?sseldorf from 19Ц27 January.
Trident and Winboat will display their competitive Russian products to the European market. Their motor and sailing boats will be key exhibits at the Baltic Marine Festival stand at BOOT. In addition, presentations on the city’s tourist potential will be held under the auspices of the St Petersburg City Administration. ExpoForum, the organisers of the Baltic Marine Festival and strategic partner of Messe Düsseldorf, the organisers of BOOT, will hold a series of round-table discussions and meetings with European partners. They will discuss the opening of the new convention and exhibition centre in 2014, built to meet the highest international standards, as well as plans to host marine and yachting exhibitions. A separate area of the Russian stand will be set aside as a comfortable working space for media partners who work for yachting industry journals and websites.
According to the organisers of the Baltic Marine Festival, the products displayed by Russian manufacturers are as good as their European counterparts in terms of reliability and navigability. And, despite lagging behind in terms of design, production technology and labour intensity, the high cost of parts, and the lack of finance and investment, Russian manufacturers are learning from European experience, making their vessels even more competitive.
