Exhibition of creative work by Russian cadets opens at Suvorov Military School
Today saw the opening of an exhibition of creative work by pupils from military schools across Russia, organised by the Department of Education of the Russian Ministry of Defence.
The exhibition is being held to honour the 70th anniversary of the Suvorov movement in Russia. ExpoForum helped to set up the exhibition by providing equipment and furnishings free of charge.
At the opening ceremony, speeches were made by Ekaterina Priezzheva, Director of the Department of Education of the Russian Ministry of Defence; Vyacheslav Makarov, Chair of the Legislative Assembly of St Petersburg; and Anatoly Erkulov, General Director of ExpoForum.
In fact, Vyacheslav Makarov was himself a military school cadet, graduating from the Kalinin (now Tver) Military School. He wished the current pupils every success, for the benefit of Russia. In his welcoming speech to visitors and exhibitors, Anatoly Erkulov said, “Our company holds an enormous number of exhibitions every year, but the exhibition opening today is one which we are particularly pleased and honoured to be a part of.” He also pointed out that both creative thinking and a creative approach to work would help the Suvorov cadets achieve success in the future.
At the exhibition, pupils aged 11–17 are displaying their works in categories such as Science and Education, Sport, Art, Technical Creativity, Trades and Crafts, Philology and Linguistics, The Lighter Side of Suvorov (Cadet) Life, and The World of our Hobbies. Certificates will be awarded to the best exhibits.

From 25Ц27 October 2012, St Petersburg will host an exhibition of creative works by pupils from Russian Ministry of Defence secondary schools, in honour of the 70th anniversary of the Suvorov movement in Russia.
