Agrorus 2012 Exhibition and Trade Fair Organising Committee Meets at Russian Agricultural Ministry
On 18 July, the Russian Ministry of Agriculture hosted a meeting of the Organizing Committee of the Agrorus 2012 Exhibition and Trade Fair.
Representatives of ExpoForum were among the invitees, who discussed organisational matters under the chairmanship of the State Secretary and Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Alexander Petrikov. Particular attention was paid to refining the exhibition’s business programme. This year, in line with the priority programmes for development from the Ministry of Agriculture, the business programme will place particular emphasis on issues of food security, Russia's accession to the WTO, and innovative programmes for rural development.
In addition, agreement was reached on setting up Ministry of Agriculture information display areas, which will focus on current issues in agricultural policy. Materials for the Gold Medal competition were also approved.
The Agrorus 2012 International Agricultural Exhibition and Trade Fair will be held at Lenexpo from 27 August to 2 September. Around 1,500 companies from Russia, Belarus, Germany, India, China, Latvia, Poland, Ukraine, Finland, and other countries will be exhibiting at the event.
Participation expenses to be partially paid by expo organisers.
An interactive display entitled ‘St Petersburg – Marine Capital of Russia’, commissioned by the Government of St Petersburg and organised by ExpoForum, was featured at the EXPO-2012 World Specialized Exhibition in the South Korean city of Yeosu.
