JUNWEX to shine brighter than before
The transfer of the major international jewellery forum JUNWEX St Petersburg to the new ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre in 2015 is a hot topic amongst exhibitors and visitors alike.
From 6 to 10 February this year more than 700 leading Russian and foreign companies occupied over 20,000 sq. m. of exhibition space at the Lenexpo site, exhibiting jewellery, watches, cutlery, ceremonial and souvenir items, artistic weaponry, and much more. The spring/summer collections were also presented at the forum, together with an overview of new products on the market. Output plans for the second half-year were put together and supply contracts were signed.
RESTEC, the company which organised the event, is under pressure to increase the exhibition space available, since during the event this year virtually all of the pavilions at the Lenexpo Exhibition Complex were filled. The facilities at the new ExpoForum exhibition and conference centre, due to open in the second quarter of 2014, will allow the leading jewellery exhibition in Russia to work on more specific tasks and give all companies on the market the opportunity to showcase their products.
On the 26th of February, a number of issues were discussed at a meeting of St Petersburg’s leading exhibition operators. These included matters concerning transport access to the new ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre, how to divide pavilions into zones for small-scale events, and rental policy.
