Environmental legislation arouses interest among specialists
Cutting-edge equipment and services used to address environmental protection tasks and ensure ecological safety were presented at an exposition covering more than 6,000 square metres as part of the XIII Ecology of the Big City international forum. The importance of the event in the industry was confirmed by the attendance of 2,500 specialists.
The main topic of the Forum was environmental problems encountered in cities. Experts from 25 Russian regions and nine other countries met at the Forum to discuss these issues. Forum participants displayed particular interest in the seminar entitled ‘Environmental Legislation, Law Enforcement, Ecological Monitoring of Enterprises’, which attracted more than 200 specialists. Companies from St. Petersburg and the Russian regions gave an interactive presentation about the enforcement of environmental legislation by economic agents. Of equal interest were the business events dedicated to environmental monitoring, information support for environmental protection activities, and methods of land recultivation of polluted areas. Specialists from Germany, Austria, and Finland shared expertise with their Russian colleagues.
