New location for the Baltic Marine Festival
In 2013, RussiaТs largest boat show, the Baltic Marine Festival, is changing venues: this yearТs exhibition will take place at the Krestovsky Yacht Club. The sporting events will be held at the St. Petersburg Trade UnionsТ River Yacht Club.
This year, more than 100 new boats of Russian and European manufacture will be on display in 7,000 square metres of water. Most of the boats will arrive in St. Petersburg by sea. The new venue will make it possible to display the large yachts of up to 70 feet which are taking part in the 2013 Baltic Marine Festival, as the top-class Krestovsky Yacht Club marina is protected from wind and bad weather, and has specially equipped pontoons that have been adapted for the mooring of large boats.
The festival will include a sporting, entertainment, and show programme. Fans of water sports and active leisure pursuits can enjoy the spectacular excitement of the ExpoForum sailing regatta, a wakeboarding contest, motorboat races, and other competitions. The festival also invites spectators to the award ceremony for the national marine prize and a yacht-wear fashion show.
The Baltic Marine Festival, which will take place from 31 May to 2 June, has been organised with the support of the Transport; Legal, Law and Order, and Security; Tourism; and Physical Exercise Committees of the Administration of St. Petersburg.
