Reed Exhibitions brings its largest events to St. Petersburg
From 29 to 31 May 2014, St. Petersburg will for the first time host INTERCHARM professional, the international exhibition of professional cosmetics and equipment for beauty salons.
Gregory Zaraisky, Managing Director of Reed Exhibitions Russia, and Sergei Voronkov, ExpoForum’s Executive Director, signed an agreement to hold the exhibition at Lenexpo Exhibition Complex.
Gregory Zaraisky stated that he expected INTERCHARM professional to be a great success in St. Petersburg, as market research has shown that the event has huge potential in Northwestern Russia’s exhibitions market. He also announced that he was confident that new exhibitors could be attracted, particularly those from the countries of Northern Europe.
According to Sergei Voronkov, the cooperation between the leading exhibition organiser in the Northwest Region and the world’s top exhibition company will offer additional opportunities to expand business. He also noted that the opening of ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre will set this strategic partnership on course to develop still further. A package of special offers being developed by ExpoForum together with St. Peter Line Ferries will allow overseas exhibitors to visit the city for 72 hours without a visa, giving St. Petersburg an advantage as an exhibition location.
Another large-scale Reed Exhibitions event – the heating and ventilation equipment exhibition Aqua-Therm – will also be held in St. Petersburg in 2014.
Representatives of UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, visited St. Petersburg in preparation for their upcoming open seminars, which are to be held in the city for the first time in the summer of 2014.

At a press conference ahead of the Russia-ASEAN Business Forum, Indonesian Ambassador to the Russian Federation Djauhari Oratmangun expressed his belief that the Forum will help to strengthen relations between Russia and the ASEAN nations. The Forum will take place on 22 June 2013 at St. Petersburg’s Lenexpo Exhibition Complex.
Although the market for industry exhibitions in Russia is primarily concentrated in Moscow, the capital could face serious competition from St Petersburg in 2014 with the opening of the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Professional conference organisers and representatives of various congress and exhibition centres and convention bureaux from major European cities will meet in St. Petersburg from 22 to 24 August 2013.
