EXPOFORUM Has Made It onto the Short List of Exhibition News Awards

The EXPOFORUM Convention and Exhibition Centre has been nominated for Exhibition News Awards in the category Best International Venue 2019. For the second year in a row, the complex has made it onto the short list of the prestigious British award according to Mash Media – the largest media company in the global Event-industry.

Our complex will compete for the victory with 7 venues from all across the world:

  • Stockholmsmässan International Congress & Exhibition Centre
  • RAI Amsterdam
  • Singapore EXPO and MAX Atria
  • Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC)
  • Marina Bay Sands Singapore
  • Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC)
  • Doha Exhibition and Convention Center

Whether EXPOFORUM becomes the best international venue will be known on March 22, at the solemn awards ceremony in London.

The Exhibition News Awards has been held since 2008. For more than 10 years, it’s been one of the most prestigious contests in the event-industry. In 2019, the award will be given in 23 categories: best newcomer, organiser salesperson of the year, organiser marketing team of the year, operations team of the year, best event director, event tech of the year, best supplier to exhibitors, best supplier to organisers, best venue under 8000 sqm, best venue over 8000 sqm, the csr award, best use of social media, the indy award, best organiser association partnership, best consumer show marketing campaign, best trade show marketing campaign, best feature area, best brand expansion, show rising star, best consumer show, best trade show and best international trade show. Therefore, the judges will not only assess the venues, but also choose the best organisers, directors and contractors of events.

EXPOFORUM Discusses Prospects for Civil Shipbuilding for the Arctic
On 10 April, the business programme of the International Arctic Forum included a discussion on the trends in interregional cooperation between St. Petersburg and regions of the Russian Arctic. The business breakfast participants discussed the significance of small-scale civil shipbuilding in St. Petersburg for the needs of the Arctic regions.

The Fifth International Arctic Forum began at EXPOFORUM on 9 April. The Forum is attended by more than 3,000 guests, including representatives from 300 Russian and 50 foreign companies.
EXPOFORUM Enters into Partnership with Meteorologists
On 9 April, ExpoForum International and the Russian Society of Hydrometeorology signed a memorandum for long-term partnership. The document includes plans for cooperation in organising and holding the forum and exhibition entitled “Weather. Climate. Water / ERS / Green Economy” at EXPOFORUM.
