Citizens of Saint Petersburg are looking for their dream jobs at a job fair in LenExpo
At the opening ceremony of the event, the guests were greeted by a chairman of the Committee on labour and employment of St. Petersburg Dmitry Cherneyko and a deputy general director for Commerce of Expoforum-International Sergey Volkov.
“Today on a site we have gathered 130 companies and a whole employment service base of jobs of St. Petersburg is introduced. We keep on trying to change. For every fair, we are looking for new formats that every participant could find everything they want: new employees, new knowledge or new workplaces”, - shared Dmitry Cherneyko.
Sergey Volkov marked that the job fair is an important event for Expoforum-International: “Jointly with employment services we have conducted about 50 job fairs. And this one is not the last one. And we are waiting for those who would not find their vocation today on the next events. I heartily wish employers to find qualified staff and employees- their dream job”.
On the job fair, interactive zones “Business communication- how to achieve your goal” and “Professional approach to a job search” are working. For the whole day, phycologists from Saint Petersburg's employment centre are narrating to the guests how a personal brand help in career building, how to set your goals properly, deal with emotions and overcome difficulties whilst job search.
Among the largest enterprises offering work places- “Admiralty Shipyards”, "Armalit", "Computer development center", "Rostelecom", "Rosgosstrah", "Lenenergo", PJSC "TGC-1", "Bukvoed", "Jotun Paints", "Auto Business Solutions", "Lenta", "Vodokanal of St. Petersburg", "Passengertransport", "Post of Russia" and others.
Representatives note the efficiency of this event.
“Today we offer vacancies of sales consultant, sales cashier, shop manager, and picker in a warehouse. The main benefit of the event is in truly interested applicants. If a person has come to the fair, spent time for this, filled in application forms, then already tomorrow he will be at an interview in our office. After the last fair, for example, 20 people managed to pass to the further stages of interviews”, - told a representative of “Bukvoed”.
A head of Krasnoselsky insurance departments of “Rosgosstrah” Victoria Khromovskih is looking for the insurance agents at the fair: “After the last job fair, we conducted interviews with 25 applicants. 5 of them became our employees. It is a pleasure that people know why they have come, in advance choose companies with which they would like to talk, bring prepared CVs, thus making the meetings more productive”.
