Ecological, housing and industrial projects unite at Expoforum

This year, specialists in the fields of industry, ecology and housing can expect a large-scale event: the “Ecology of a Big City” forum and the International Exhibition and Convention “Housing and Communal Services of Russia” will be held jointly with the St. Petersburg Technical Fair (SPTF) and the HI-TECH innovations exhibition in the Expoforum convention and exhibition centre from 18 to 20 March.

Holding several events simultaneously will help to achieve a special synergetic effect: ecologists and representatives of the housing field will be able to communicate directly with large industrial businesses and discuss current issues with ensuring environmental safety in the production, use and processing of industrial waste, creating a comfortable urban environment and the digital transformation of Russian cities.

The anniversary 20th Ecology of a Big City forum will present more than 80 suppliers and producers of equipment and services, who will demonstrate modern developments and technology, innovative environmental protection equipment and special vehicles. Experts of the convention programme will discuss current changes in the environmental legislation of the Russian Federation, issues regarding the protection of water bodies and the treatment of enterprises’ waste water, and the development of a waste treatment system. More than 3,000 industry specialists from 60 Russian cities and 21 foreign countries will take part in the discussion.

The key direction of the 16th International Exhibition and Convention “Housing and Communal Services of Russia” in 2020 will be introducing and developing the federal programmes “Smart City” and “Comfortable Urban Environment”. The project, which will involve more than 110 companies and 5,000 visiting specialists has cemented its status as a multifunctional platform for dialogue between corporations in this sector, the bodies of state authority and the scientific community.

The leading federal-level industrial event, St. Petersburg Technical Fair, annually attracts over 300 exhibitors and 6,500 industry specialists. Participants in the fair will present their technological production chain – from scientific developments and metal production to the finished products of the machine-building complex and will demonstrate their latest achievements, modern equipment, innovative technologies and developments.

The HI-TECH International Innovations Exhibition is one of the first events in Russia for promoting high technologies, innovations and investment projects in the scientific and technical field. The best innovative projects and scientific and technical developments will be demonstrated in a competition set up by the Ministry of Science and Technology of Russia. Over the years of the event’s existence, more than 3,800 scientific developments in different fields of agriculture have been presented and in 2019, 126 projects were shown.

The event will be held from 18 to 20 March in pavilion F of the Expoforum convention and exhibition centre.
