Scientists state that gas chemistry products are the fastest growing area in Russia
According to Alexey Kontorovich, the gas chemical industry shows an increase of 7% per year, despite the fact that overseas growth is usually 5-6%, and its products have already become equal in price to oil products. “We are exploring hard-to-recover deposits, and it is important to improve technologies and the transportation/transmission system for gas production in order to use the gas resource to the maximum and minimize losses,” - added Mr. Kontorovich. The scientist emphasized that a new generation of young oil and gas workers must be prepared for the non-standard production conditions they are going to encounter in the second quarter of the 21st century.
St. Petersburg International Gas Forum takes place at the EXPOFORUM Convention and Exhibition Centre. The conference "Innovative Solutions. Preserving and Improving the Efficiency in the Oil and Gas Industry" was organised by the journal "Scientific Journal of the Russian Gas Society", the Scientific Council on the Problems of Geology and Development of Oil and Gas Fields of the Russian Academy of Sciences and ExpoForum International.
