All-Russian Acrobatic Rock’n’Roll Competition was held in Expoforum

On 15 February, the opening ceremony of the All-Russian Acrobatic Rock’n’Roll Competition 2020 was held in Expoforum.

Vadim Permyakov, executive director of the All Russian Federation of Dancesport and Acrobatic Rock’n’Roll, congratulated those present on the first all-Russian competition of the year: “The athletes performed outstandingly in the 2019 season and we hope that this and all future competitions will help us to discover Russia’s most commendable representatives.”

At the end of the ceremony, the competitors took the athlete’s oath, and the jury took the arbitrator’s oath.

The competition traditionally represents Russia’s vast geography: representatives from 25 Russian regions came to St. Petersburg. More than 1,500 athletes competed in 14 different disciplines and categories.

The competition is highly rated and helps to form Russia’s national team. It aims to popularise and develop acrobatic rock’n’roll in Russia, to increase professionalism and to pick out the strongest athletes.

The All-Russian Acrobatic Rock’n’Roll Competition 2020 was held from 14 to 16 February on the Expoforum convention and exhibition centre.

‘Romeo and Juliet FOREVER’: shining and romantic!
On 29 February an evening with the ‘Taurian’ Symphony Orchestra of Leningrad Oblast was held. Performances by the talented collective have already become a pleasant and wholesome Expoforum tradition. The virtuosos delighted those who appreciate their art with their spellbinding concert ‘Romeo and Juliet FOREVER’.

On 28 February, as part of the fourth specialised workplace safety and staff development exhibition, KUB EXPO 2020, the Safe Ways of Working in Tight and Confined Spaces (TCS) exhibition was held at Expoforum.
The Sky for the Children!
On 22 February, the Model Airplane Games were held in pavilion F of the Expoforum convention and exhibition centre.
