The International Consortium of MICE Industry included the Shanghai Exhibition Business Association
The document was signed as part of the grand opening of the office of the Association for Promotion of Business Relations “Chinese Business Centre” in Shanghai. The signatures were put by Sergey Voronkov, President of the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs, CEO of the EF-International Ltd, and Chen Knyanshin, Chairman of the Shanghai Exhibition Business Association.
“The business agenda of new organizations of rapidly developing countries – the SCO and the BRICS, rapidly gathers pace. It is important for these business relations to be supported by congresses and exhibitions. To do this, the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs has taken the initiative to found the International MICE Consortium”, Sergey Voronkov said after signing the agreement.
The International Consortium of MICE Industry is mainly intended for organizing and implementing mutually beneficial initiatives aimed as supporting congress and exhibition activities and the event industry in the member countries. The partners will jointly organize business events, conduct industry research, and implement educational projects. Mutual integration in projects, cooperation in organizing exhibitions, congresses, meetings and business trips is expected.
To date, the Consortium includes companies from India, South Africa, Indonesia and Belarus.
