Expoforum summed up the results of the Environmental Film Festival «Green Ribbon».

This annual event brings together both novice and experienced authors, providing them with a platform to discuss current environmental topics.
The event is organized by the Committee on Environmental Management and St. Petersburg State Institution Mineral. This year, 131 entries were submitted from participants from different regions of Russia – St. Petersburg, the Leningrad Region, the Republic of Crimea, the Trans-Baikal krai, the Murmansk Region, and the Republic of Bashkortostan.
The largest number of applications – 50 works – was received in the Best Social Video nomination, where students from St. Petersburg universities and schoolchildren from children’s and youth studios actively participated. 21 films were presented in the nominations «Grand Prix» and «Best Reportage». 10 films were nominated in the nominations of «Popular Science Short Film» and «Inside View», dedicated to the activities of non-profit environmental organizations. In the nomination «Fresh Look»,
19 children’s creative teams competed, which created films under the guidance of mentors.
In their works, the authors explored topics such as forest fire prevention, wildlife protection, waste management, conservation of natural resources, and other topical environmental issues.
The winners were:
Nomination: «Fresh Look» – Ksenia Litvinova, Maria Batishcheva, Anton Samartsev and Timur Yezhkov (Three Whales Media Center of the MOBU Gymnasium in Sertolovo), the film «Yana, Dima and the Cats»
Nomination: «Inside view» – Natalia Maksimova (Transregional public benevolent institution Society of Voluntary Forest Firefighters), the film «Spring, summer, autumn, winter… And another fire»
Nomination: «The best social video» – Gleb Mutsolgov (SUE Vodokanal of St. Petersburg), the film «The Seagull on guard of clean water. How to choose the right detergent»
Nomination: «Best Reportage» – Ulyana Cheglakova (St. Petersburg State Institute of Film and Television), the film «Defending the «Planet «lungs»
Nomination: «Popular Science film» – Lyubov Chepinoga (Nevsky Ecological Operator JSC), the film «Waste Management in St. Petersburg»
«The Grand Prix» was won by Ekaterina Sokolova (SDF FLP), the film «High fashion of conscious consumption».
