On February 9 – 11, the ExpoForum hosted the All-Russian Acrobatic Rock’n’Roll Competitions Saint-Petersburg Open with the participation of 1,500 athletes from 25 regions of Russia.
The participants showed to the spectators pairs and group performances in 14 disciplines and categories. The tournament was organized by the City Committee for Physical Culture and Sports, the All-Russian Federation of DanceSport and Acrobatic Rock’n’Roll, the St. Petersburg Sports Federation of Acrobatic Rock’n’Roll.

St. Petersburg Acrobatic Rock’n’Roll Championship and Competition took place in the ExpoForum. A list of participants included 600 persons. Based on the results of the «formation», «boogie-woogie», «mixed» and other disciplines, a city combined team of 2018 was formed. St. Petersburg Sports Federation of Acrobatic Rock’n’Roll acted as the organizer.

«And the Sky for Children», Festival of Technical Creativity on Rubber-Engine Aircraft Models

«And the Sky for Children», Festival of Technical Creativity on Rubber-Engine Aircraft Models was held in ExpoForum . About 150 persons aged from 9 to 63 were competing in several model-aircraft classes. The event was organized by the aircraft modelling club of the Sunday School of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

ExpoForum hosted the International Cheerleading Tournament «Northern Palmyra» with 2,500 participants, including the spectators and athletes from Moscow, Petersburg, Leningrad Region, Velikiy Novgorod, Taganrog, Valdai, Rostov-on-Don, Tver, Krasnoyarsk and Belarus. The competitions took place in different nominations in accordance with the applicable international rules. The tournament organizer is the St. Petersburg Cheerleading Federation, the co-organizer is ExpoForum-International.

ExpoForum has for the third time hosted the All-Russian Wheelchair Dancing Competitions. 200 athletes from Finland, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Poland, Slovakia and Russia have taken part in them. The dancers showed the European, Latin American, and free programs in the categories «combi», «duet», «solo», «ensembles». The «technical merit» program was presented for the first time and the tournament for the children of 7-12 years old took place.

The 13th Public Action «I Choose Sport!» was held at the ExpoForum. In total, more than 100 organizations took part in the action, among which are over 40 leading sports federations, a number of state physical education and sports institutions of St. Petersburg and district physical culture, sport and wellness centers. On the interactive venues, the visitors could play chess, kicker and golf, jump on the bouncer or climb on the mini-rock climbing wall, play billiards or computer battles. The All-Russian mass street basketball competitions «Orange Ball – 2018» also took place as part of the action. Over 60 thousand of St. Petersburg residents made themselves familiar with the city sport opportunities, which is the action absolute record for all years it has been held.
