On October 23, the XVII International Forum «Senior Generation» started at ExpoForum. One of the events of the congress program was a meeting with the Chairmen of the district Councils of veterans «On the active wave».

The Chairman of the Council of St. Petersburg Veterans Organization, Major General Vasily Volobuev addressed the audience with an opening speech. He remarked that the government of the city and personally the Governor Alexander Beglov provides the Council of Veterans with comprehensive assistance. That is why the organization supported Beglov in the gubernatorial elections.

Among the topics discussed at the meeting were sports and health, social issues, cultural and leisure activities, patriotic education of youth and active longevity.

The XVII International Forum «Senior Generation» takes place at ExpoForum from October 23 to 26. The congress program includes 27 events with participation of 180 speakers and more than 2,000 specialists from 51 regions of Russia, Belarus and Israel. More than 100 companies from Russia, Belarus, Armenia are taking part in the exhibition.
