Within the framework of the international forum-exhibition «Russian Industrialist – 2024», the winners of the All-Russian professional skills competition «Best Welder 2024» were awarded.

 

The competition is considered to be the largest welding competition in Russia over the past few years. More than 300 welding specialists take part in the events of the competition, and the competition itself is the final competition for the winners of welding competitions held in the Russian Federation in 2024.

Among the participants of the competition, there are five winners of international welding competitions, and 138 participants of the competition, competing in four categories, reached the final, All-Russian stage from about one and a half thousand of the best welders and represent 67 regions of the Russian Federation. The vast majority of enterprises that delegated welders to the competition are the largest enterprises of the Russian Federation with a high level of organization of welding production, highly qualified employees performing welding work at hazardous production facilities controlled by Rostechnadzor of the Russian Federation (Gazprom, Tatneft, Transneft, Norilsk Nickel, Sibur, USC enterprises, etc.).

The prize fund of the contest is RUB 4,000,000.

The contestants competed for prizes in the following categories:

• arc welding with a melting coated electrode
• arc welding with a melting electrode in a protective gas
• arc welding with a non-melting electrode in a protective gas
• welding with a heated tool

The opening of the Competition and the drawing of lots among the participants took place on November 25 at Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, an educational institution that has raised outstanding welding scientists and honored welding specialists.

The competitions themselves were held at two production sites of the SRO member organizations of the NAKS Association in St. Petersburg: North-Western Attestation Scientific and Technical Center «Energomontazh» LLC and Regional North-Western Interdisciplinary Attestation Center LLC.

The awarding ceremony for the winners of the competition took place on November 28 on the main stage of the St. Petersburg exposition of the International Forum-Exhibition «Russian Industrialist – 2024».

He presented the coveted cups to the winners. Vladislav Tretyak is a legend of Soviet hockey and the most famous goalkeeper of the 20th century, president of the Russian Hockey Federation, a Russian statesman and politician.

Rustam Maratovich Davletkhanov (Transneft – Ural JSC) took the first place in the nomination «Arc welding with a melting coated electrode» and became the best in Russia.

The first place in the nomination «Arc welding with a melting electrode in a protective gas» was won Vladislav Igorevich Tarasov (USC JSC) who became the best in Russia.

The first place in the nomination «Arc welding with a non-melting electrode in a protective gas» was won Vladislav Andreevich Palkin (ZESKMI LLC) who became the best in Russia.

The first place in the nomination «Welding with a heated tool» was won Ruslan Olegovich Mozhaev (Mosoblgaz JSC) who became the best in Russia.
