Three centuries of perfection: The Imperial Porcelain Factory introduces the guests and participants of the SPIGF-2024 to the outstanding works of porcelain art of the imperial period

The Exhibition is dedicated to the 280th anniversary of its foundation.

The Exhibition of seven showcases presents outstanding service ensembles from the time of the House of Romanov, as well as modern works by the Imperial Porcelain Factory (IPF) artists who embodied the theme of the gas industry in porcelain.

The Exhibition is assembled in such a way as to showcase the Factory’s most significant works of the imperial period: from the first sets of the time of Elizabeth Petrovna and the multi-part dining sets of Catherine II to the exquisite Art Nouveau works of the period of Nicholas II. The products of the Imperial Porcelain Factory, selected according to this principle, clearly demonstrate to the SPIGF guests how the style of St. Petersburg porcelain artists has developed and enriched, while always maintaining the highest level of craftsmanship.

As Tatiana Tylevich, CEO of «Imperial Porcelain Factory» JSC, emphasized at the opening of the Exhibition, the IPF has become a partner of the SPIGF cultural program for the third time and is proud of such cooperation.

The Imperial Porcelain Factory is one of the oldest porcelain enterprises in the world and the major domestic producer of «white gold». For almost three centuries, the IPF has been developing the Russian school of artistic porcelain and creating a new porcelain fashion. During this time, the Factory has never stopped its work for a day and has never moved. Despite all the twists and turns of history, St. Petersburg porcelain artists invariably maintain the highest level of craftsmanship and dedication to their home enterprise.
