The event is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, the Government of Saint Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.

The Business Contacts Center (BCC) successfully operated in its similar format in 2022. Over 1,400 meetings took place in a single day. The BCC venue was visited by representatives of Genral Consulates of foreign countries, India and Hungary, and others.

Svetlana Ivanova, Sales Manager of the company “Greensalat”, stated, “We participate more than once. For the first time, we took part in the BCC in 2020, which resulted in contracts with 3 companies we are still partners with. This year we have wanted to expand our contact base, so we participate in the BCC again! The venue allows arranging personal meetings not only with new participants, but also with those we have business relations with. Today we have agreed with our long-time partner to expand the range of supplies”.

Natalia Shchenikova, Director of the Category Management Department of the “Magnit” Retail Chain in the North-Western District, said, “Magnit” interacts with over 5,000 suppliers, the absolute majority of which are Russian. Under current conditions, providing the population with domestically made goods becomes a matter of food security, so we focus on import substitution and searching new Russian partners. Our customers prefer local products, so we actively develop this focus area, expanding its assortment and the geography of supplies. The Agrorus Exhibition venue is very convenient for getting to know new local manufacturers of agricultural products from the Northwestern District, and establishing new contacts”. Last year “Magnit” presented its special simplified contract for farmers. It is designed for small manufacturers, which find it difficult to meet the requirements established for chains and large businesses.

Anna Ogneva, Category Manager at “Dobrotsen”, told, “There’s an impressive list of participants, both in its buyers and suppliers’ parts. Traditionally good level of organization and, undoubtedly, the convenient and fruitful format. The BCC is a great venue for efficient business meetings!”

In 2023, suppliers will be able not only to personally talk with buyers, but also to demonstrate the quality of their products at special ready-equipped stands in the procurement session area.
