China, Belarus and Russia’s largest agricultural holdings: Agrorus brings together top officials and key agribusiness players

What novelties Chinese manufacturers have prepared for the Russian market, what will surprise Belarusian enterprises, why the agro-industrial sector needs drones, why agriculture is considered an advanced industry in terms of digitalization and import substitution, how to become a rural tourist in Montenegro – this and much more from the life of agro-industrial complex of Russia, its neighboring countries and beyond only at Agrorus-2023 exhibition in EXPOFORUM.

The topic of international co-operation is one of the key highlights on today’s agenda. Therefore, for the first time, more than 10 companies from China will present their achievements at the Exhibition. For the Russian market, the PRC offers industrial grain and feed dryers, food equipment, components for agricultural machinery, and other products.

The traditional participant of Agrorus is the Republic of Belarus. Companies from Minsk, Mogilev and Vitebsk regions prepare technical novelties and even bring Belarusian delicacies to St. Petersburg.

St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk and Bryansk regions, Sevastopol, the Kabardino-Balkar Republic, Stavropol Krai, and the Leningrad Region will demonstrate collective stands showcasing the achievements of representatives of the agro-industrial sector.

The large-scale exposition of the 47th region includes agricultural enterprises and farms from all 17 districts. In addition, the Leningrad Region will be represented by a large official delegation headed by Governor Alexander Drozdenko and Head of the Committee for Agro-Industrial and Fishery Complex Oleg Malashchenko.

In total, over 250 companies from 3 countries and 20 regions of Russia will take part in the Exhibition.

The stands showcase agricultural and agro-industrial machinery and equipment, food products, IT solutions for agro-industrial complex, mineral and biological fertilizers, hydraulic systems, polymer materials, peat substrates for professional plant cultivation, microbiological products, dietary supplements and food additives, agricultural drones, including those for combating cow parsnip, scientific developments and much more.

The congress program complements and expands the exhibition’s topics and displays. Key tracks:

  • Digitalization in agriculture
  • Export of agro-industrial products
  • Solving personnel issues in the agro-industrial complex (AIC)
  • Import substitution in the agricultural sector
  • AIC topical issues
  • Modern trends in the development of professional agrarian education

The international vector will be continued by the Conference “Development of Agriculture and Agro-industry in BRICS and BRICS+”. Education and scientific achievements of Russia will be discussed at the Regional Forum of the Council of Young Scientists “The potential of young scientists as a development driver of agro-industrial complex”. Representatives of Montenegro will take part in the 1st International Forum “Rural Tourism as a Vector of Socio-Economic Development of Territories”.

The Golden Medal competition under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation will identify the best producers and service providers in the agro-industrial sector. Large enterprises, farms, private individuals and research organisations are invited to participate.

The Business Contact Centre (BCC) will operate for two days at the Exhibition to provide a unique opportunity to find new partners, suppliers and customers. BCC is intended for direct negotiation between producers and buyers in a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. On August 30, large restaurants and retail chains will be able to find new offers, and August 31 is the day for agribusinesses.

On September 1, Agrorus will host the Freshman’s Day of St. Petersburg State Agrarian University; the Day of Leningrad Region and the Day of Gardener will be celebrated a day before. The best gardeners of St. Petersburg will receive governmental awards.

“Agrorus is also a grandiose harvest festival and a bright gastronomic experience for everyone. Therefore, from August 25 to September 3, two agricultural fairs (Agrorus and the fair of the Leningrad region), an exposition of agricultural machinery and “Orthodox Russia” exhibition-fair are waiting for guests in the large parking lot of EXPOFORUM.

Agrorus will offer exclusive farm cheeses, seasonal wild crops, vegetables, fruit, fish, meat, seedlings, as well as a sea of honey and “People’s Tasting”, a favorite contest which will determine the best honey of the Fair. Throughout all days of the Fair, guests will enjoy a concert and entertainment program and fun events for children.
